Kavado ducked out of the way of the punch, rolled himself beneath Kinto's arm, and pressed his shoulder/forearm against Kinto's still-outstretched fist, just to flex his muscles and get them moving. When Kavado fought it mostly included a flurry of fancy-footwork and quick-hitting energy related attacks, so his morning stretches mostly consisted of getting him limber and loose.
"I'm afraid it's not very interesting, gener--Kinto. My mother (who's probably off already training somewhere on her own) was pregnant with me before the destruction of our planet. I know nothing about my father except that though they weren't mates my mother thinks of him fondly. I don't look anything like him, but I suppose that's for the best. She was off-world on purge when Lord Frieza destroyed Vegeta, and after her mission was complete she called it in only to be informed that Vegetasei was gone." Kavado easily maneuvered around a few more light attacks, pausing as he concentrated on what he and Kinto were doing, "She was told to report back to station 241 and there she managed to catch the eye of the soldier who had told her where to go. His name was Kashu and he is quite powerful. One of Frieza's better men. He instantly decided that he "loved" my mother and told her explicitly that Frieza was the one who destroyed Vegetasei and informed her that she was the last Saiyan left. If he didn't conceal her/us, and Frieza found out that there was a survivor she'd be dead for sure. So he forced her to 'marry' him in return for his protection. Unfortunately my mother didn't hold his attentions for long and his eye eventually fell to me. A few short years ago my mother and I escaped from underneath him--after Lord Frieza's death--and we have been running from him ever since. And that is the end, sir."

Kinto took in the information quietly, only throwing mild 'attacks' so she could concentrate and tell the story. when she finished Kinto got an odd light in his eye. "well, you need not run any more." he said simply, brushing the side of his nose with this thumb "now that I've prodded you for your story, is there anything else you'd like to share? or have I intruded quite enough?" he was trying to be polite but he was always curious to get as much information about his team as possible, as a leader and responsible for them it was his JOB to know all he could so he knew how best to instruct them. knowing when to push them on or pull them out was important.

"Not really. It isn't as though you've intruded, but there simply isn't anything else I think that you would find interesting." Kavado was happy about the way that Kinto seemed to assure that he and his mother were safe now. Yes, he believed him. Somehow he doubted that Kashu would have been able to stand up to the tall and dark male in front of him. He knew that he was safe in Kinto's hands. "But perhaps, if it isn't too much trouble, you could return the favor and share with me your own escape. I'm sure that it's something."

"suit yourself then." Kinto scoffed, he doubted that he wouldn't be interested in anything Kavado had to say. the man loved information. he hesitated a moment, surprisingly NONE of his men had ever asked him outright about his story. "well, when the king got wind that Frieza was coming to destroy the Saiyans he sent his next of kin and his best politicians and advisers to one our moons. it was my Job, as well as my two brothers to fairy them over and then I was told to seek out the stragglers so I set out to find our missing. these are all I've found so far. I was made General of this base after becoming close to a surface General who doesn't actually like Saiyans much, but the Saiyans of this planet needed an 'ambassador' of sorts since there was no royalty left to lead them. it wasn't a job I WANTED but I do my best." he was a shoddy story-teller and he didn't really want to explain the entire thing, he'd end up standing there all day. "anything else you'd like to know?"

"Hm." Kavado said, smiling fondly. He was happy that Kinto had shared (despite the moment of hesitation) and felt strangely pleased. The feeling gave him a coy, cat-like expression, and he tried to think of other things to ask Kinto as they practiced; "What's your favorite colour?"

Kinto gave an odd stare then "My favorite...color?" Kinto had to think about it for a moment. "I suppose it would have to be dark orange or red." he said with a firm nod. "what about yours?" it was more of an automatic response then anything, he wasn't sure why favorite colors where important.

Kavado smiled again, "soft greens and dark blue."
"What's your favorite food?"

"interesting." Kinto stated, he guessed more often then not Saiyans chose armor of their favorite colors.
"I'm actually quite fond of saber tiger meat. it can be a little tough but still quite nice. I'll have to introduce you to the food of this planet, I might not recognize it if I ask what your favorite food is." he laughed somewhat then, he thought the whole conversation to be a little silly but he was actually enjoying it.

"Probably not." Kavado agreed, still ducking and dodging and kicking and throwing his own attacks in turn, all at a leisurely pace. "Do you enjoy working here? I mean, you said that this isn't what you would have wanted to do (being an 'ambassador' of sorts), and you're still following the last orders that were given to you by our king... is that a fulfilling task? What did you used to do on Vegetasei? What was that like? I never saw it, you know..."

Kitno blinked then at the sudden barage of questions, he'd never been asked many of them. "it can be stressful at times but what job isn't? I guess I do enjoy it for the most part. I will follow my King's orders to my death, it is my purpose. I was a Royal Guard on Vegetasei, I stood at the Queen's right hand. it wasn't a particularly active job but the fulfillment of THAT job was what I enjoyed the most at either the king or Queen's orders I would bring down foes or escort them whenever they left the castle. it is a shame you never got to see our home world, it was quite glorious." Kinto hadn't ever explained so much at once but he tried to honestly answer every question.

"Huh," Kavado said thoughtfully, very much enjoying the conversation. SInce he was a boy he had been interested in such things; what their world had been like. His mother spoke of it so fondly and so proudly, he could only try to imagine. Kinto seemed to feel the same way. "What were were the king and queen like? I bet that she was beautiful, huh?"

"oh, she was indeed, and very smart the King just wasn't quite the same after she died. but he was still a great leader and he died for his people." Kitno said both fondly and sadly all at once, he missed those days and sometimes he wished that he would wake up back in his quarters in the castle. but he never did and he had accepted the reality of things. he could only move forward and continue to serve his last order.

"Was he handsome, the King?" Kavado asked, without really thinking. If the queen was fair surely her king must have been her match. He was curious about them, as his mother had never seen them personally but seemed to show them both such dedication. "You sound so sad..."

"I suppose ye was rather dashing. I never thought to apply such words to him but yes." he said after a moment's pause. it really hadn't ever occurred to him. after all it was Jinto's job to advise the king and probably spent more time telling him he either looked good or should adjust his cape before an adress.
"Sad? well, yes, I suppose I am a little. you never knew the planet but I grew up there, it's difficult for most people to understand having everything and everyone you knew suddenly obliterated before your eyes. but I shoulder it well, so don't go telling everyone I'm crying for my planet like a child, y'hear?" he said with a slightly more serious tone. he hadn't ever told anyone about THAT before and he questioned himself as to why he had told Kavado. he didn't like anyone knowing he got 'sad' he was a general, strong and sure. he had to be a constant pillar of strength, at least before his men.

Kavado had no intention of telling anyone, but he nodded at Kinto's words just the same, taking a glance over his shoulders to be sure that no one else had heard their conversation.
"I wouldn't dream of it."
He didn't really get the impression that Kinto was a 'sad' person, and so he could understand why he wouldn't want his image blown, but it was a sad concept none the less - one of the last survivors of a dead race, following his king's last order to the end of his days, searching the galaxy for others of his kind. It was a lonely image.
"How many others do you thing there are, out there?"
